Enrich Yourself by Empowering Others! Investing in the People of Our Great Community
April 1st is known worldwide as April Fool’s Day, a time when pranksters play jokes on friends, family, and even entire communities. From fake news headlines to elaborate practical jokes, the day is all about fun and mischief. The origins of April Fool’s Day are a bit of a mystery. Some historians trace it back to the late 1500s when France switched to the Gregorian calendar. Those who failed to realize the new year now began on January 1st (instead of late March) were playfully mocked as “April fools.” Others link the tradition to ancient spring festivals full of playful trickery. While a well-played prank can be good for a laugh, there’s nothing funny about the home buying or selling process going wrong. In real estate, misinformation, bad timing, or the wrong strategy can lead to costly mistakes—and those are no joke! That’s why we take the guesswork out of the process, offering expert guidance and a proven system that ensures smooth, successful transactions. So, if you or someone you know is thinking of making a move, don’t gamble on luck—trust experience. And when you refer them to us, you’re not just helping a friend or family member; you’re also supporting a worthy cause. (See inside for details)

On April 23, 2025, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation will welcome USMC Sergeant Matthew Hannon to his new mortgage-free smart home in the Let Us Do Good Village in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Thanks to Tunnel to Towers, he’ll regain independence in a specially adapted home designed for accessibility and comfort.
The Let Us Do Good Village provides homes for catastrophically injured veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families. Sgt Hannon, an advocate for fellow veterans, looks forward to continuing his support work within this new community.

Why I Support
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation?
I worked in local law enforcement for over 25 years, as a member of both the Bakersfield Police Department and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. I retired as a Sergeant with the Sheriff’s Office. I enjoyed a rewarding career and made some lifelong friends along the way.
Unfortunately, more than a few of my friends and co-workers lost their lives in the line of duty during my career. I witnessed first hand the dangers of serving and protecting our community and how shattering it could be for the families of those who lost their loved ones.
One of our many deputies killed in the line of duty died on July 25, 2021, when he was shot and killed working with his SWAT team at a multi-hour standoff at a residence in Wasco, CA.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the mortgage on the family’s home as part of its Fallen First Responder Home program. The Tunnel To Towers Foundation also runs a Gold Star Family Home Program and a Smart Home Program to assist wounded veterans and First responders.
